Thames Design & Build designed and constructed a side-return extension for this semi-detached home. To comply with planning regulations, the boundary wall with the neighbouring property had to remain relatively low, so we excavated the floor by 20cm to maximise ceiling height. The extension features Crittall-style French doors and a full-height fixed panel to enhance natural light, along with two large Velux windows. We also created a bespoke pantry area with reeded glass panels and installed a steel-framed internal window to allow light to flow into the back reception room.
